BOSTON, Mass. (December 30, 2009) – The summer of 2010 promises to pack a double punch as the Spirit of the American Cowboy Foundation presents its second rodeo, the Cape Cod Stampede.
Bringing world class rodeo action to the Barnstable County Fairgrounds in East Falmouth on August 14th-15th, the height of summer event is also the second stop for members of Team Cowboy Spirit competing in the Ride 4 Charity Challenge.
Bucking from the pens of the Rawhide Rodeo Company, Sam Swearingen’s talented herd of rough stock guarantees two days of rank match-ups and white knuckle rides.
The BBQ and chili competition heats up again following the New England Wild West Fest as vendors vie for the title in the second round of “Best of the Fest.”
This year the SACF has expanded the Lil’ Buckaroos Rodeo from its traditional calf scramble and stick horse race to an invitational junior barrel racing competition, steer riding, and pee-wee power house mutton busting.
Expect the Barnstable Barn Burners speed team to tear through the arena with new routines and flashy costumes, performances by renowned Western specialty acts, and a gifted rodeo announcer to tie the whole event together.
Get down to live country music filling the fairgrounds throughout the day and stay for a special concert following the rodeo after the last bull bucks.
The fun doesn’t stop as everything gets hotter when the sun goes down and Luke Kaufman picks his guitar at the official after party of the CCS.
What better way to raise money for pediatric cancer research than hosting an event that everyone will love and remember for years to come? None other than the sister rodeo to the New England Wild West Fest, The Cape Cod Stampede!
